AVIS Rent A Car Rashanda(Employee) delibrately gave false answers inorder to make to charge me extra and bigger commission plano, Texas!!
Booked a 4-day rental Sat-Wednesday 9am pick-up 9am return. Saturday morning:Called 8:15am to ask if rental was ready which it was.Picked up around 8:45am.Asked for smoking vehicle and given a non-smoking instead.Rashanda(employee) claimed thats all they had.I had no choice but to take it.I then asked about return if theres a grace period before avis starts to charge.Rashanda said 1st hr or so is fine but after that keep the vehicle because I will be charged the whole day.I said ok and left.Then on the day of return(8:30am),I had called to ask if interior cleaning was available and was told there was a charge so I told them I’ll vacuum the interior and bring it right over. I got there maybe 10am and the employee had told me she couldnt give me a reciept systems were down and told me she will email the total.I asked her if the total stayed the same and she said yes but can’t give me that total because systems were down.So I took her word for it and left.When I checked my email,wouldn’t you know it but the charge went from $225.10 to $286! I called spoke to manager,he said he charged me 5 days instead of 4 becuase I was an hour late.I explained to him rashanda had told me a different return policy but he was stubborn and said talk to customer service if you don’t like it.Customer service directed me back to the branch manager so I new that wasn’t going to help. It’s really dissappointing to know that there employees would lie to make a few extra bucks.Even more dissapointing when the manager is not considerate and doesn’t care about customer service as well .I had rented vehicles from avis before and never had an issue like I had today.I can tell you that I will not rent from this low-class, non-trustworthy avis in plano again and will be turning to other rental companies instead.
