Brainwave PC Mark Gibbs Don’t trust this scam artist. He ripped me off of $3,100!!!! Aloha, Oregon!!
I was looking for a car during the month of Dec. 2018 so i looked on Craigslist for a vehicle that would get me back and forth to work. Since it rains alot here in Oregon and I have no other means of transportation. Mark Gibbs had a 98′ Honda Prelude for sale. He seemed like a nice and trustworthy guy at first. But i soon learned it was just a scam. I had told Mr. Gibbs i was working at a fast food restaurant and didn’t make a whole lot of money so he agreed to make an finacial agreement in which i could make monthly payments. So i do have a printed out contract. When i would make my payments i would go to his Computer repair business (Brainwave PC) in Aloha, OR. So, after about five months later around June of 2018 after making payments (aprox. $3,100 total) he wouldn’t answer my phone calls or return any of my messages that i had left. After calling repeatly he finally answers and says that it isn’t his responsibility for him to make sure i make my payments. I try to reason with him but he just hangs up on me. So i call him back and he tells me he’s going to call the cops on me for harrassment. So after calling the non-emergency number, a deputy sherriff calls me back and already knew of Mark Gibbs from previous scams dealing with his supposed car sales. So this isn’t the first time he has done this to people. I saved every part of the contract to take to court. I already files paperwork to take him to small claims court which was another $98 for the filing fee and $36 more for having the Washington County Sherriff deliver the paperwork to him. So i had to wait 14 days for a response. Which he did respond two days after he received the paperwork. That’s pretty quick response back!!! It’s like he already knew what to do and how to do it. SO now i have to wait 1-3 weeks more to get a hearing to go to court. Probally be another 2-3 months for the court date.
