Webroot There is no customer service – everyone tells you something different – lied to several times Boulder, Colorado – I am completely dumbfounded how Webroot has “handled” this problem. I have been lied to several times. It seems like no one at Webroot has the same information. Matt said someone would call to help me fix this over the phone. Sam did call up but had me go through all the same tests that I had done previously. Carol in Sales told me that I could get a virus fixed for $39. Then someone else tells me it’s $129. Then Sam tells me that because I have been having so many problems over the past week that my “case was going to get top priority and it would get handled this afternoon”. He said something like the “team leader” is the one that had him call me and she really wanted to get this taken care of and make sure I was satisfied with Webroot. He said that someone would call me and make sure this got fixed. Then I call up at 4:30 because no one has called and finally talk to Jim at 4:50 p.m. and he tells me that “No one is going to call on this, we don’t call people.” I told him people had already called me and tell him I was promised that someone would call this afternoon. He just kept saying that I was wrong, no one does that kind of call back and basically, just get over it and fork over the $129 to get rid of a virus that should have been stopped by their software that I already paid for. So that is Webroot’s “customer service”? Webroot is good until you need then. Then they just give you a bunch of double talk and don’t help at all.
